Independent of the powertrain’s type, automobile manufacturers focus increasingly upon 48 V power supplies, which yield clear benefits, like the inclusion of more efficient components, weight savings and increasing comfort. For the purpose of testing and emulating 48 V power supplies, as well as single power train components, FuelCon offers with it’s TrueData X-OPS 48 compact test equipment, which is optimized for this field of application and could also be used in motor- or e-motor test stations. By default, the inclusion thereby takes place via CAN, by means of which the integration into existing test systems is possible without any problems.
Even applications with higher performance ranges can be checked and emulated reliably with FuelCon equipment. The TrueData X-HVE imitates the behavior of electrical energy storage systems both functionally and electrically and could therefore be used as an emulator for battery and fuel cell systems, as well as high-voltage power supplies in vehicles.
In case, that particularly the testing of components is in the foreground, it is possible to cover voltages up to 1,000 V, currents up to 1,200 A and powers up to 600 kW. Due to parallel connection, accordingly, higher current and power is possible. The TrueData X-HVT possesses, just as all the other products, an integrated sequencer, which allows highly dynamic stress cycles and tests.
In developing fuel cell systems, it is particularly important to test and validate single components or a whole component group of the periphery under realistic conditions. FuelCon’s Evaluator BOP was specifically conceptualized for the dynamical testing of Balance-of-Plant components of the anode and cathode, like compressors, membrane humidifiers, coolers, valves or cooling systems and also supports system powers of more than 200 kW.
All the FuelCon test systems run by default on our efficient automation software TestWork, which supports you with your test tasks to its full extent and besides can act completely in an automated way. For an individual test handling, detailed driving cycles can be realized, even combined with peripheral devices like climatic chambers, shakers or tilt units.
