FuelCon Systems secures Test Station Orders from the National Research Council
FuelCon Systems is pleased to announce that, after an extensive review of global test station suppliers, it was chosen to supply Canadian National Research Council – Institute for Fuel Cell Innovation (NRC-IFCI) with 500W PEM fuel cell test stations.
The NRC-IFCI has developed a fuel cell test centre as part of the base for its Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Hub. This facility tests component, single cells, short stacks and power modules. Through this purchase, the NRC-IFCI will significantly expand its capability and leadership role in the industry

“We are very pleased with this purchase and the opportunity to work with such a leading institute within the fuel cell industry.”, commented Blair Heffelfinger, General Manager of FuelCon Systems. “A priority requirement for these test stations was the capability to operate unattended for long-term testing up to thousands of hours. We believe that the level of automation which is integral to FuelCon’s Evaluator“ series, and our sophisticated software platform, FuelWorks“, which allows for safe, unattended operation, was critical in the decision.”. Mr. Heffelfinger further said, “With this purchase, NRC-IFCI gained the option to purchase additional FuelCon test stations at higher power ranges.”
