Fuel cell test field launched
At the 26th of june 2003 the opening of the fuel cell test field at the
„Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft“ (HTW) was celebrated.
The test field will be operated and managed by the „Forschungsinstitut
Fahrzeugtechnik“ (Vehicle Research Institute, FiF) and is equipped
among others with a stack test rig Evaluator® S5 made by FuelCon and
a SOFC data acquisition rig supplied from the „Fraunhofer Institut
für Keramische Technologien und Sinterwerkstoffe“ (IKTS).
FiF uses the customized Evaluator® S5 for some specific research programs
in the field of alternative propulsions for cars. The planning of
the
test field was carried out close together between staff members of FiF
and FuelCon .
The result is a unique combination of experiences from FiF in the field
of traditional propulsion test beds with the expertise of FuelCon in
fuel cell test stations.
