FuelCon joins "Long Night of Science" in Magdeburg
This year the city of Magdeburg, located near Berlin, Germany and home of FuelCon's headquarters, celebrates the "Year of Science". One of the highlights this year was the "Long Night of Science" held on May 20th. Over 8,000 citizens of Magdeburg and their guests attended the event which displayed 154 experiments conducted by the 42 institutes and companies that participated.

Lutz Truemper, Mayor of Magdeburg, proclaimed "today's evening re-affirms our slogan for this year that 'Magdeburg wants to know it!' I'm enthusiastic because of the many citizens I met this night, and because of the involvement of so many staff members from the Universities, Institutes and companies which provided the public with explanations to the experiments."

FuelCon participated in this event with a demonstration model showing the complete chain of alternative energy supply. The experiment illustrated the initial conversion of solar energy (solar panel) to electric energy, then the generation of hydrogen by hydrolysis, and finally the conversion of hydrogen into electrical energy using a fuel cell. The numerous visitors that attended the FuelCon experiment demonstrated the huge interest in alternative energy by the people of Magdeburg.
