FuelCon test stations now at all continents
With the shipments of Evaluator® C050 Line of test stations to the Western Cape University in Bellville, South Africa, FuelCon test stations are used by R&D teams, as a critical development tool, on all continents of the earth (excluding Antarctica).

The stations shipped to the Western Cape University were configured with the unique methanol supply system, as well as the proprietary “quickCONNECT” single cell fixture. The Chemical Department of the Western Cape has an ambitious program for the development and optimization of new materials for catalysts. The fuel cell team, headed by Professor Linkov made their decision in favour of FuelCon’s Evaluator® C050 line of test stations after an extensive worldwide benchmarking exercise. According to Professor Linkov, “FuelCon is one of the companies with the greatest methanol know-how worldwide due to their extensive experience and large number of customers.”

FuelCon CEO, Mathias Bode, commented that “we are now earning the fruits of our labour after a 10 year history developing and designing methanol test stations.” Mr. Bode goes no to say that “FuelCon is benefiting from the fact that DMFC systems are close to commercialization. Our customers like the fact that our test stations are fully automated and can be equipped with a broad range of highly sophisticated options and accessories designed to meet the challenges of research and development, and the demands of product prototyping, validation and qualification.” Mr. Bode commented further that “our customers also appreciate, and directly benefit from, our extensive experience in the area of quality assurance. Compared to our competitors, our customers are comforted by our position as an independent supplier of test solutions, completely focused on fuel cell technology.”
