C050 and TrueData-EIS a powerful team
Since its market launch in 2003, the Evaluator C050 has developed
itself into one of the most successful products at FuelCon. The performance
of this single cell and short stack test station of up to 500W power
range may be increased by including some powerful and outstanding options.
In particular, by including the embedded frequency response analyzer TrueData-EIS,
the C050 becomes a powerful and efficient development tool for fuel cell
material screening, material and design optimization and simulation.
During life time and endurance testing of fuel cells,
the impedance analyser generates valuable data to understand the various
factors influencing
fuel cell performance. Above all, the impedance analysis allows the
development of realistic simulation models as well as the validation
of material
and system optimizations.
Benchmarked with similar products the TrueData analyser
offers several outstanding advantages:
- The analyser is wired directly into the load circuit,
this allows maximum frequencies of 50kHz and 100kHz at currents of
100A and 150A respectively.
- While integrated into the Evaluator® test station, the TrueData-EIS allows the operator to generate Nyquist plots or impedance spectra automatically and under completely stable and reproducible conditions.
- The raw data
can be merged into a variety of compatible software including
MatLab.
These capabilities seem to be a highly valued by the
research and development community given the growing interest in the
TrueData.
